Questions and Answers for the Reality Award

If you could change one thing what would you change? I hope to change the lives for the unfortunates, hoping I could make life better for them.
If you could repeat an age, what would it be? I guess I wouldn’t. I’m really looking forward to what is waiting for me in the future.
What one thing really scares you? Someone’s death.
What is one dream you have not completed, and do you think you’ll be able to complete it? I want to be a social worker in the future, I guess with determination, I believe I will be able to do it.
If you could be someone else for one day, who would it be? I want to be myself because I am special this way. 😉

Here, I will nominate some of the blogs! :))

Dreams,

Another poem, Dreams.

Dreams are hard to follow,
especially when our morale is low.
But who says is impossible?
They are definitely feasible.
If you do not try,
Who are you to judge that dreams are a lie.
Believe in your dreams,
You can make it real as it seems.
Dreams do come true,
when you make it through.
Milestones might be on the way,
it is not easy, they say.
If you ever fail,
just stand up and continue to sail.
But don’t only dream about your life,
or it will turn out to be a sigh.
Dream for it,
Work for it.
By then, you will see the peak,
and that is the dream you seek.

Happy Thanksgiving day :)

Hi everyone,

First, I will like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving day! 🙂
In my life, I have too many things to thank about.
I’m thankful to meet people I meet in my life.
I’m thankful for all the laughters and smiles I have in my life.
I’m thankful for all the tears of happiness or sadness I have cried.
I’m thankful to everything that have happened to me. Good or bad.
I’m thankful for all the memories in my life.
Lastly, I’m thankful to be in this world.

If I have to say people in specific , that I want to thank.
I guess this list will never end.
But I’ve to thank my family and some friends in specific,
Thank you for always being there when I need you.
Thank you for giving me advices when I couldn’t find my right way.
Thank you for patting me on my head, and telling me I did well.
Thank you for hugging me when I cry.
Thank you for scolding me when I made a mistake.
Thank you for showering me all the love you can ever give to a person.
Thank you and thank you.

So here comes another self-created poem:

Thankful

Good memories have brought me all the way,
which left me too much words to say.
Bad memories have came past,
but I know they will never last.
I am feeling really grateful,
these are things I have been so thankful.
There are so many people I never regret meeting,
they are the ones who control my feelings.
When they cry,
I know I will sigh.
When they laugh,
I know smiling aren’t that tough.
After the rain,
comes the rainbow.
Thank you for all the things that have happened to me,
they were the greatest gift for me.

Thank you for all the support in my blog as well.
I gained my 21st follower tonight.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Now, turn around and say thanks to the people you appreciate. 😉

Life is a mirror,

Hi everyone, So apparently I bought this chinese “chicken Soup” book today whereby all inspiring stories and philosophy stories will be brought up in the book. I really like this alot so guess I will share it. 🙂

Have you ever wondered if life is fair to each of us? What we give to life is what we will get back from life. When you smile , your life will be smiling back at you. And when you cry, your life will be crying with you.

Everyone have the same thinking and wish that their lives will be free of obstacles and just plain and simple. Yet, many obstacles we faced in our lives made us unhappy or even cry and these are what made us think how bad life is. However, the true fact is that because we tend to forget to smile and be thankful in our lives.

Why is life is a mirror? Its because it reflects what we feel about life. For example, if we don’t like a person and treats him or her badly, will one expect him/ her to treat them well? No. Even if they do, their sincerity will still be rejected.

Okay, so here comes a story from the book.

In a village somewhere far far away, an old man sat down at the entrance of the village quietly, enjoying the sun. A stranger drove and stopped at the entrance. He then got down and asked the old man, ” Hi, I’m intending to move house. Is this place good? Are the people here friendly?”

The old man just silently looked up and observed the young man infront of him. He then asked. “How are the people like around your past home?”. The young man just gave a sigh, and replied,” all those people there are so unfriendly and unsociable. They are so selfish! I just want to leave there as soon as possible! That’s the reason why I’m moving house so urgently.”

The old man then shook his head and calmly replied, ” I’m sorry to tell you but all these people here are the same way as those people in your past house.”

The young man was disappointed and drove off.

After a few days, at the same place, he met another young man. He asked the same question. Yet, the answer was different.

“I really love the people over there! If not for my work, I will not have bear to leave them! They are really nice, friendly and sociable! I really like them alot.*

The old man then smiled and exclaimed, ” This is the right place for you, young man! You came to the right place. The people here are just like how they are there!”

So in the end , the second young man moved in and indeed, he got along well with all the people there.

Thus, in the end, what we see in the world is actually how we are like. Although we know that life is a mirror, however many times, we just don’t bother to look at it.

When we kept complaining about lives, making ourselves feel so pathetic, in the end, we did not realised that we are the ones, who made our own lives so miserable..

So, stop complaining and look at the people around you.
Really, who are you?
And if you decided to change for better, you will feel more happier than what you are today 😉

Quote: “Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it. -Ernest Holmes”

Thank you, and have a great day ahead ! 🙂

Past,

Greetings to everyone.
Today is 11/11/2012. A very pretty number. :))
Okie. Decided I shall just talk about a topic that I’ve been talking about with one of my friend.
Past.
Past is defined as the time gone by.
I sometimes wonder how people actually feel upon being asked this sentence, ” Do you like to share your past?”
Initially I felt that everyone could be pretty open about it and then I realised I was wrong.
Not everyone is willing to share their past.
And when asked the reason why, because they don’t feel like it.
Some said they were shameful of their past.
Then I understood why.
We all have things that we don’t want to share with other people.
To be honest, I’m really surprised by how we open up to different people in different ways.
For example, a girl can only talk about the happenings in school with some of her friends and she actually have alot to share with other people.
Well, does that come with trust?
I guess so.
We share things to people we trust.
Who is willing to share your secrets with a backstabber? No.
So back to the topic, probably is interlinked with the previous posts I talked about perceptions,
We choose who our friend is, we define clearly who our good friend is.
I find it really cool because these small actions in our lives are the ones who slowly formed that trust we have to people.
For example, a boy fell down, 2 other boys were at the side. 1 rushed to help him, another just looked at him blankly. Who will he trust more?
Certainly, it will be the boy who helped him up.
Perhaps in our lives are build up by different actions and words said by people.
Things we experienced in our lives, with people around us, are the ones who shaped who we are today.
And yet, many things are the ones we often neglect in our lives.

Thus, I just want to say that, Do not be shameful of your past.

Who don’t have a past?

We all have stories to tell.
That’s what makes life beautiful right? 🙂

Let your past make you better, not bitter.

Thank you 🙂

Perceptions,

Today lesson triggers hidden memories back to me. 😀

Haha, okay. So I’m going to talk about perspections again today. So apparently Perception is the active process of creating meaning by selecting, organising, and interpreting people, objects, events, situations. Perception consists of the process: Selecting, Organising and interpreting.

Normally what we do is actually to divert our attention to what we defined as important and somehow, we were unaware of the other things and our surroundings that were happening around us. Basically, We choose what we want to see. And because change compels attention, we normally take for granted all the pleasant interactions with other people and notice only the tense moment. Sad to say, our motives and needs will affect what we want to see and what we don’t. Maybe that is the reason why we always have unhappy moments. We tend to neglect those happy moments we had before.

Constructivism states that we organize and interpret experience by applying cognitive structures called schemata. We normally organise our perceptions by allowing ourself to place people or other things in categories. For example, to define who is our friend and who is our best friend. That is a prototype.
Not only that, we used personal construct as well. We rely on the constructs to judge other people. Yet, these constructs that we rely on, shape our perceptions because we define things only in terms of how construct is being used. Another thing that we usually do, either intentionally or unintentionally is to stereotype. It is a generalization applied to a person or situation. Yet, they could be wrong as well. The last one, is script. It is a guide to action. They are based on our experiences and observations of interaction. They guide us, and we grew up that way.

Yet, we have to know that all perceptions are partial and subjective. We have to be careful of not getting into misunderstandings. Most importantly, we have to remember everyone have different perspectives.

These are things we can do. (got from the book :D)

1) Recognize that all perceptions are partial and subjective

2) Avoid Mind Reading

3) Check Perspections with others

4) Distinguish between facts and inferences

5) Guard against the self-serving bias

6) Guard against the fundamental attribution error

7) Monitor labels

Maybe, we should learn how to look at things in different perspectives. Things might not be that bad or have reasons that could explain, If you just look at another way.

Things will be better, trust me. 🙂

Friendship,

A poem dedicated to a special friend.

When two girls who like to read meets,
We know they are the leaders who lead.
A friendship that is slowly build up,
Distance wouldn’t bring it down.
When we first met,
It seems like this friendship is set.
Just so you know,
This friendship aren’t getting low.
Dreams are hard to follow,
But please don’t let it go.
I have faith in you,
so start your life brand new!

Hope you guys like this as well. 🙂
