Everything starts with you.

Everything behind lies a reason.

“Everything happens for a reason.”

I always believed in this sentence, and then things that happened to me, really make it even more true.

When I lost a chance, I looked at a brighter way and moved on. Then I realised, actually there was a surprise in the future that was prepared for me.

When you feel low, remember there will be another road for you to walk and thus, never give up hope. That road could even be better.

Everything happens for a reason.

“No. Don’t give up hope just yet. It’s the last thing to go. When you have lost hope, you have lost everything. And when you think all is lost, when all is dire and bleak, there is always hope.”

We are who we are.

I love this quote alot.

We are who we are.

No one can stop you from doing the things you love, no one can tell you that you can’t do it.

No one can discourage you because you are the sky.

You are who you are and you own your own piece of sky.

Things that change might be like the weather , could be cloudy, could be sunny.

However, the main choice of what you want to do, is still yours.

Because you are the sky 😉

It looks like some ordinary flowers.
But No, it wasn’t like any other.
These were flowers that were cut out using plastic waterbottles and then being coated with colourful paint.
She was so proud of it that she insist having all of us to take photo of it 😉

That moment was touching, but warming.

Yesterday, (20/1/2013) I went for this volunteering event with a few of my friends. It was the first volunteer work I am doing since the start of 2013, good start huh? xD
We helped to pack the food and daily necessity and brought to some elderly’s houses.

It was a really eye-opener for us because it is like we haven’t really have such experience before. All of them were pretty friendly and some were so cute.
One even told me, ” You have a pretty name. And Pretty name are for nice people.”

It was really heartwarming for me to hear that.

And I really felt the describable warmth despite the cold and rainy weather.
Not only that, I was surprised at the Projects people initiated in our country, and yes, by youngsters. There were also many more volunteers than what I expected. 😉

But I’m grateful for those people who have used their efforts to actually help those who in need. I’m glad and I’m thankful.

Another new year resolution: help even more people with the small hands of ours.

Because I know I can contribute, I therefore believe I can volunteer my contribution.

And we make it happen. 🙂

Lost, or maybe not…

I thought I found my dream,
Maybe it wasn’t as realistic as it seem.
Where were my dreams supposed to meet,
What was I trying to seek?
Where was this path going to lead,
What was the thing I really need?
I was confused of where I was going,
but I forgot the world would continue moving.
I lost my way,
but I was the only one who can have a say.
Dilemma brought me nowhere,
and I was feeling like I was somewhere.
Now I figured out my thought,
It was actually everything that I was being taught.
Life does not always give you what you expected,
that was how it was started.
Tears I shed that day,
it was the lesson I have to pay.
Right now, I wouldn’t even mind,
because it could be a dream that I might find.
I wouldn’t choose to be sad,
and rather, follow where the road of my future led.

Life?

My dear friend just gave me inspirations to write this blog post.
So here goes.
I understand that I have wrote pretty much posts on life. But I guess the definition of life and how we describe it kept changing that it can go on forever and forever.

My friend asked me this, ” Do you think life is cruel? Giving happiness then take it away.”

To this, I personally feel that yes, life is cruel in a way. Maybe at times. And when we are feeling in bliss, someone out there in the world could be suffering and thus, life is cruel in a way.

But thinking about the positive side, these setbacks actually made us grow in our lives. From what happened, from what we defined as “cruel” things, we learnt how to cope in these type of situations and maybe next time, we could even share with others our experiences and what we learnt from it. From these sharings, we could probably help other people avoid the setbacks or even give advices to allow them to solve the problem even more efficiently.

We have to understand that life doesn’t always go where we want to go.
And thus, we just have to learn to be even more flexible.
Alot of things, we have to learn to let go more easily and look in the positive way.

At the moment when you decided to let go/ forgive and forget,
the next time when you look back,
you will be wondering why you felt that way in the past.

And only that, you can find happiness and look forward to life.

Furthermore, you will realise that perhaps when you gotten yourself into a new road, it could be a road to a newer and brighter future. Life is unexpected. 🙂

Stop and take a look,

Image

In our lives, the world is moving on and on.
Steps to the future were fast and furious,
That people forgot to stop and take a look.
We kept on walking and walking,
that we forgot to stop and enjoy the moment.
We forgot how to appreciate and be thankful in our lives.
And sad enough to say,
these small little details, these short moments were the ones that are worth our short little time to actually stop and observe.

How much are we really missing and neglecting?

Maybe one day, if we learn to slow down, stop and take a look,
the world could have been better,
things could have been more awesome than it was right now.

Be appreciative, you wouldn’t regret it.

And for the person who is reading this,

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at this 🙂

Really appreciated. 🙂 and well done for that!

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 3 years to get that many views.

And I hope I can do better and reach out to even more people out there.

Especially in 8 months, I managed to get so many readers and subscribers :’)

And I will put this picture under my awards, because to me, is still an achievement. i’m thankful for that. 🙂

Listen,

Hi, so I’m back after having not to blog recently.
been busy and no inspirations in mind. hahaha.

There are many things that happened in our lives,
but to really understand someone or a situation,
we really have to do this simple little thing.
Anyone know what is it?

That is to listen.
And I don’t mean just using your ears to listen and not putting your feelings into, not putting yourself into the other party’s shoes.
I meant to listen with your heart.

Alot of people just listen using their ears and in the end, they missed out or neglected the other party’s feelings. The other party could have sensed that his or her friend did not understand them well enough, and decided not to tell them anymore. And in that case, is it still a case of “I’m listening to what he/she is saying.” ?

And only by listening fully, will you understand the full story and be able to help the others.

Think about it, and let me know how you feel, okay? 🙂

And yes, yesterday was the last day of our ILP programme.
I feel sad somehow because the program is over, but relieved that all of us did a good job in the program. It was made of so much memories, effort and hard work. And I believed all of us have gained alot from this program, much knowledge and of course, friendship. And I’m also glad that we will all stay in touch , this is definitely a very precious and cool friendship I will ever have.

Just a reminder to all,

Listen with your heart and not just only your ears.
