Saw a picture that thought all of you might like. So here goes!

We meet many obstacles in our life and we always tend to think,

“Why must this happen to me?”

“Why me?”

This quote really suits it all. Everything will be okay, and if it is not, keep working until you get your desired result.

Make the best out of it! And if you have not seen the result yet, then it is not the end yet! So keep on going.

And don’t even worry because you will definitely find your way there.

There could be struggles, but who says we can’t do it?

So no matter what happen, do not lose your faith!

                                              BECAUSE….

And know that there always those behind your back, supporting you and loving you.

and lastly, so..

Have a good day, everyone! 😀

My 100th post, my life story.

Hiya, I’m back!

This will officially be my 100th post since I joined wordpress!

And thus, I decided to post something that means close to me and hopefully bring out the meaning of this life story to everyone.

So here goes.

I was a happy go lucky girl since young.

Everyone says that if ever the sky falls, I could have just used the sky as my blanket. haha.

I might not be a very outspoken person, okay maybe I do. To the people who I’m close to.

But yea, one thing I’m ever glad that I have was to have this optimistic attitude of mine.

Whenever I am upset or so, I might whine alot, like literally complain. But I mean no harm. I love to say it out, well of course is better to say then to bottle up in my heart, isn’t it? hahaa, That could raise my risk of having heart problem. :p

First change was when it was 2007.
I used to be quite a rebellious girl during 2007. Well, it was the stage that many become really really bad. I’m glad I did not turn out that way.
I remembered how much I love to buy branded bags and so.

But yes, I wasn’t the one paying for them.

I remembered how freely I always used my money.
I did not have the habit of saving back then as well.
All I did, was to spend.

I can’t remember what happened, but I did change.
Partly , i think  it was because of the passing on of my grandmother.
I started to slowly see things in another perspective.

Then I moved on to another year where I found my love in reading books.

I really miss those times spent with my friends reading, spending our break times, lunch times, just purely reading. It was really great fun.

Yet, when I reached the next 2 years,

I started to get very tired with my studies and started to feel the burden of studying.

Of course, I did not score very well, with that mindset as my motivation was really low.

Now thinking back, I could have gotten better, if I had more motivation.

But during the low period of my life,

I had the most wonderful amazing people around me.

I have my family there for me and the most wonderful mentor- Mdm Tan.

I remembered how well she motivated me, giving me courage and strength to go on.

She would talk to me about achieving my goals and so.

Sometimes, teachers do not have to teach through lessons, but really, giving support to the students when they need it was really important.

I went on to my another stage of life and after thinking for a long time, I decided I would do something meaningful to my life, in the end, taking up gerontology.

I found my passion in this.

Learning about active ageing and so. And hopefully, these knowledge will be useful in the future.

Then I have my another change in my life.

One fine day, I spotted a floater in my eye. In the end, I went for eye check up.
To my horror, to find out that my retinal had detached.

I was afraid and scared to hear about the surgery processes that totally freaks me out.

I was like, “WHAT?! You have to take my eyeball out?”

Sounds disgusting and painful , isn’t it? Ouch.

I was that young and I started to wonder.

How would this happen to me?

Normally, it would happen to older people, stated by the doctor.

But I was too young for that!

I was horrified and when I went to  another hospital, the doctor wanted a surgery straight!

My mind couldn’t even processed!!!

So I told myself, “CW, BE STRONG.”

The doctor felt that he could try laser surgery first.

And yes, I went in.

During the procedure, I was like, “OH GAWD, IT HURTS!!!!!!!!”

I felt my tears were flowing.

I thought of the happy moments I have, trying to distract me from the pain.

I was glad, I survived!!!!

But in the end, when I went for the check up the very next day,

he realised there was a need for another round. 😦

And this time, I guess I was stronger.

In a short while. it was done.

After that matter, I have alot of thoughts flowing through my mind and I became what I am like today.

I lost 10% of my vision but I have started to notice small little things that I couldn’t noticed or cared in the past.

And ta da, another positive attitude girl is created.

I felt like a brand new girl after my surgery.

Well, you may call it unlucky, but I am really glad I survived and I’ve been through a lesson that taught right into my heart.

Well, this is my life story and my dear 100th post.

It was a tough process but I learnt alot from them.

Do you feel happy for me?

I do, I really do.

And yes , thank you for my 87 followers.

Everything does happen for a reason. 😉

Little small things in life,

As I have said the past few days, this week was definitely a terrible one, with a terribly hectic and packed schedule. However, I’m so glad it’s Friday today! which marks the last presentation for the week. I haven’t had enough sleep recently. hahaha. And couldn’t believe I only slept for 2 hours last night.  Well, no matter, I’m a girl who can’t survive without sleep. hahaa. First, I will like to tell all my readers and classmates that, Please do not lose hope. It will be over soon. :’) Although the process could be tough,

there are fun moments and experiences, knowledges learnt throughout the whole thing.

Thus, never regret it!

So here’s Ben & Jerry’s Ice cream to satisfy my cravings,Image

And my friend got this small little cute bear for me in Korea, Image

And another friend bought me a book from Taiwan 🙂Image

These small little things in my life, are the ones that kept me going despite the hard process. They are the little lights that lead me out when I was in my darkness.

Thank you for everything, thank you for everyone who is around me and thank you for single moments that I wish to remember forever and ever. Grateful and thankful. Anyway, It’s Chinese new year eve!~! 🙂

Can’t wait for cny! 🙂 Happy Chinese new year and happy holidays everyone! 😀

xx

Simple,

Image

So I got this achievement on 31st January 2013. Nice way to end a month 🙂

And here goes the picture today! Find a need to post on 1st February 2013.
But I’m pretty busy recently. But anyway, here goes 🙂

Image

Many happenings that come across our life, many small little things in our lives.

Simple, yet happy.

Volunteer

Image

It looks like some ordinary flowers.
But No, it wasn’t like any other.
These were flowers that were cut out using plastic waterbottles and then being coated with colourful paint.
She was so proud of it that she insist having all of us to take photo of it 😉

That moment was touching, but warming.

Yesterday, (20/1/2013) I went for this volunteering event with a few of my friends. It was the first volunteer work I am doing since the start of 2013, good start huh? xD
We helped to pack the food and daily necessity and brought to some elderly’s houses.

It was a really eye-opener for us because it is like we haven’t really have such experience before. All of them were pretty friendly and some were so cute.
One even told me, ” You have a pretty name. And Pretty name are for nice people.”

It was really heartwarming for me to hear that.

And I really felt the describable warmth despite the cold and rainy weather.
Not only that, I was surprised at the Projects people initiated in our country, and yes, by youngsters. There were also many more volunteers than what I expected. 😉

But I’m grateful for those people who have used their efforts to actually help those who in need. I’m glad and I’m thankful.

Another new year resolution: help even more people with the small hands of ours.

Because I know I can contribute, I therefore believe I can volunteer my contribution.

And we make it happen. 🙂

Listen,

Hi, so I’m back after having not to blog recently.
been busy and no inspirations in mind. hahaha.

There are many things that happened in our lives,
but to really understand someone or a situation,
we really have to do this simple little thing.
Anyone know what is it?

That is to listen.
And I don’t mean just using your ears to listen and not putting your feelings into, not putting yourself into the other party’s shoes.
I meant to listen with your heart.

Alot of people just listen using their ears and in the end, they missed out or neglected the other party’s feelings. The other party could have sensed that his or her friend did not understand them well enough, and decided not to tell them anymore. And in that case, is it still a case of “I’m listening to what he/she is saying.” ?

And only by listening fully, will you understand the full story and be able to help the others.

Think about it, and let me know how you feel, okay? 🙂

And yes, yesterday was the last day of our ILP programme.
I feel sad somehow because the program is over, but relieved that all of us did a good job in the program. It was made of so much memories, effort and hard work. And I believed all of us have gained alot from this program, much knowledge and of course, friendship. And I’m also glad that we will all stay in touch , this is definitely a very precious and cool friendship I will ever have.

Just a reminder to all,

Listen with your heart and not just only your ears.

Perseverance,

Remember when I actually said,

Never ever give up.

I have a real life experience now.
And let me share my story. 🙂
This could be small little details in life , however I guess is still brings out how perseverance can actually bring you somewhere in further to your own goals.

I started baking when I was 14.
I haven’t had anyone to teach me when I started.
I tried multiple attempts and of course, I failed many times.
Despite following some of the instructions, I just seemed to miss out a step or so.
However, that day, I tried again after a long period of time and I decided to follow the new set of recipe again.
The smell was fantastic when I started baking. However, as a few minutes passed, I noticed my first set of cookies failed again. It overbaked and it turned black 😥
I was demoralised! I thought by following the recipe, I could do it well but apparently, I didn’t.
Then, I decided to keep trying, deciding not to follow the recipe anymore and doing it my way. I tried a temperature and changed it during the baking process. Then, I was so glad when I first smelled the aroma. :’)
I went to check and I was so glad it turned out nice and yummy! I then followed the same method for the rest of the cookies and I was so happy.
I’m thankful that I kept trying until I got this end result and I didn’t give up.

Now, I truly believe that failed attempts make you grow and that perserverance brings you success. Not that I don’t believe in the past, but I just felt that feeling more true and realistic. :’)

Never hate someone,

Image

Never hate someone and spend that time loving someone who loves you.
Reasons why you shouldn’t hate someone:
1) It is bad for health.
2) It is not worth to hate someone and ruin your health with a person who is not worth it.
3) Learn to forgive and forget.
4) You might neglect those who love you when you are hating the other people.
5) Loving those who loves you will be the right choice and you will find happiness when you    do so.

Love to update my blog with pictures now 🙂 Especially when I can put up pictures that summarise my whole blog post.

Ups and Downs

20121221-112146.jpg

I think I have never used my phone in a train to write a blogpost and this will be my first try. Hopefully it will be good , hahhaa. 😉 alright. Actually it’s pretty true right?

Thinking about each and everyone of your lives, there is always up and down in our lives. We tend to complain about things that are bad in our lives, like, “why is my life so bad?” ,”why are things not going well for me?” And these setbacks tend to bring people down or even push them to the negative side. However, if life was like a straight line ——————————————, isn’t it boring?

Even our heartbeats have up and down. Then, Why will we expect our lives to be as boring as a straight line? Never be afraid of challenges in life, those are the one who allow you to learn and grow. And these can allow one to become a better person in life. Have a good day everyone !
Quote for today: “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” -Robert F. Kennedy

Be appreciative,

Image

Take notice in small little things in your life.

Many things in our lives, are being taken for granted.
However, if you just take a notice of the little things or actions in your lives,
you will notice the difference and find meanings in your lives.

Today morning, a dear friend greeted me with this picture:

Image

Sunflower

Even this small little detail, or picture can brighten up my day. 🙂

Thank youuu.

Some people might think that it is just a picture but if you look at it in a different way,

you will find the happiness that you never find before.

Thus, always be appreciative of what you have.

I decided to be happy,

Image

I’ve decided to be happy.

I’ve decided to be happy because there are only benefits 🙂
And do you have idea why?

Imagine you are angry with someone for doing something wrong, but that anger comes in you and not the other party, who is at the loss? You. Because you feel the anger but they don’t feel anything.

Not only that, it has been proven that laughter is the best medicine!!
Laughter can help improve one’s health.
And laughter is infectious, it can increase happiness in everyone. :))

Also, if you have a choice to live a day either with happiness or sadness,
which one will you choose?

You choose. 🙂

I’ve decided to live with happiness because there are only benefits. 😉
Hopefully, so do you.

Dream high,

20121212-234443.jpg

Dream high and you will fly.

Dream high and you will fly.
I always believe in dreaming, not those day dreaming but having goals in your mind.
Once you have goals, you are able to work hard for it and then achieve what you want.
So … Always keep your dreams alive.
You will get what you want 😉

And thank you to Alastair for allowing me to step closer to getting the blog of 2012 award.
As for blogging, I guess keeping people inspired, getting more awards or recognition, and be able to continue blogging, will be my dreams for now. 🙂

I wouldn’t give up. So neither should you.

For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird,
That cannot fly.”

Oh yes, and today is 12/12/12 . nice date 🙂 Wish all the best in whatever you do. 😉
