#61 Forgotten,

Memories are fading,

Feelings are vanishing.

The place my love used to pour,

I can remember no more.

  1. I can smell a story out here in post after post. The meaning poured by your every word is so universally applicable.

  2. I’m just the curious type, and you certainly need not answer, but is the fading of the memories in this case…a good thing, or a bad thing. I only ask because as a ptsd sufferer, the fading of certain memories would be a blessing, but I would suspect that the fading of particularly good memories (such as those of my mother) would be a curse. I guess your poem is very successful as it has made me truly stop and consider. Congratulations, and thank-you for the time of reflection.
